Just spent the last five hours resurrecting my first app (well technically a bunch of applescript stuffed into an app). AutoSave for Logic and Soundtrack Pro. With the intention of this being its final resting version, only to find out the latest version of XCode wont let you build apps for 32 bit anymore.
Guess I’ll be heading to eBay to find an old mac….
Since the app is designed to work with old versions of Logic Pro (Logic Pro X and beyond has autosave built in.) I defiently want it to work on 32bit systems.
Its a bit of a fools errand. I imagine most have upgraded to Logic Pro X, but some studios are very set in there ways. 😆
Mainly its just for my own satisfaction however. The app has been sitting on my website with a note saying “Its free now but I havney had the time to make it offical soz, have a free serial number.” for several years, and it will feel good to get that sorted.
Much to my surprise everything seemed to still be working fine even on the latest macOS.
That AppleScript sure is resilient. Its a shame its seems to be taking a back seat within Apple these days.
Just incase there are any nut cases reading this who are running Logic Pro on 10.7 right now. I uploaded what I have gotten done up to this point.
